RCAF’s unit works with Southern locality
PANO – A mission of the Department of Development of the Ministry of Defense of the Royal Cambodian Armed Force (RCAF), led by its Deputy Head, Lieutenant General Yong Mao, visited the Southern province of Soc Trang on October 10.
During the visit, Lieutenant General Yong Mao informed the provincial leadership on the border security and the living conditions of Overseas Vietnamese (OVs) in Cambodia.
The guest also expressed his deep gratitude to Vietnamese people in general and the Vietnam People’s Army and the Soc Trang provincial authorities in particular for providing them food and military training, as well as repairing technical equipment and building facilities. The Cambodian people always remember the support of Vietnam volunteer soldiers to liberate their country, he stressed.
In addition, the two sides discussed issues related to the economic cooperation between the Cambodian Department of Development and the Vietnamese Southern province of Soc Trang in the time to come. On behalf of the Cambodian agency, Lieutenant General Yong Mao delivered his greetings to the provincial leadership and military command.
For his part, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ngo Hung briefed the guest on the provincial socio-economic situation. He also hoped that the RCAF and its relevant agencies would continue creating more favorable conditions for OVs living in Cambodia.
