    Vietnam already informs others about presentation of submission on limits of extended continental shelf: spokesperson

    Vietnam has informed relevant countries about the presentation of its Submission on the Limits of the Extended Continental Shelf in respect of the Central Area of the East Sea (aka South China Sea), to the United Nations Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf (CLCS) via the diplomatic channel, said Spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Pham Thu Hang.

    Vietnam presents submission on limits of continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles in respect of Central area of East Sea

    On the morning of July 17 (local time), at the United Nations headquarters in New York, the U.S., Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the U.N., and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegation led by Ambassador Trinh Duc Hai, Vice Chairman of the National Boundary Commission, officially presented the Submission of Vietnam’s extended continental shelf in respect of Central Area of the East Sea (aka South China Sea) to the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf (CLCS).
