The contest’s content and formats have continued to be renewed and improved, making the program increasingly attractive and receiving support from local authorities, schools, teachers, and students.
In particular, the success of the national finals and award ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year marked new developments in terms of scale, quality, and professionalism. The contest created positive communication effects and contributed to spreading love and awareness of the homeland’s sea and islands among students and people.

Reportedly, 112 contests at three levels (commune, provincial, and regional) were organized across 313 communes in 21 provinces and cities and six regions, drawing nearly 500,000 student entries from 919 secondary schools, along with tens of thousands of teachers and parents.

The Viet Nam Coast Guard developed nearly 3,000 multiple-choice and situational questions for the contests. By August 2026, coast guard regions had completed about 90 percent of the project’s targets for the 2024-2027 period.
At the contests, the organizing panels awarded more than 1,700 scholarships, 546 bicycles, and 360 sets of school supplies to disadvantaged students with good academic achievements.
In addition, 43 televisions, four desktop computers, 210 Casio calculators, as well as stone benches, books, and teaching equipment, with a total value of more than VND 4 billion, were presented to various schools.
