    PANO - On the occasion of accompanying General Secretary and State President To Lam and the Vietnamese high-level delegation to the High-Level Debate of the 81st U.N. General Assembly and conducting bilateral activities in the U.S., Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense General Phan Van Giang paid a courtesy call on U.S. Assistant Secretary of War (Defense) for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs John Noh in New York on September 21 (local time).

    PANO – The Ministry of National Defense (MND) held a departure ceremony on September 22 in Hanoi for the Level-2 Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 8 and the Engineering Company Rotation 5 which are being deployed to carry out U.N. peacekeeping missions at the U.N. Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) and the U.N. Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA).
