Vietnamese women assert their role in U.N. peacekeeping missions

PANO - As the first Vietnamese female officer selected to serve at the United Nations Liaison Office for Peace and Security (UNLOPS) in Brussels, Colonel Vu Thi Lien is contributing to strengthening cooperation mechanisms between the U.N., the European Union (E.U.), and NATO. Through her work, she also demonstrates the growing role and capability of Vietnamese women in U.N. peacekeeping operations.
