    Vietnamese and Malaysian navies enhance friendship activities

    PANO - On February 3 in Lumut, Malaysia, a working delegation of the Vietnam People’s Navy aboard Ship 17 of Brigade 171, Naval Region 2, led by Senior Captain Le Dinh Nghi, Deputy Chief of Staff of Naval Region 2, paid a courtesy call on the leadership of the Western Fleet of the Royal Malaysian Navy.

    Those who keep flame alive on voyage to MILAN 2026

    PANO - Ship 17 of Brigade 171, Naval Region 2, embarked on a more than 40-day deployment to take part in the multinational naval exercise MILAN 2026. Alongside training missions and defense diplomacy activities, logistics support played a decisive role in sustaining the health, morale, and combat readiness of the ship’s officers and sailors throughout the long journey.

    PANO – During its long voyage to participate in the Multilateral Naval Exercise (MILAN) 2026, Ship 17 of Brigade 171, Naval Region 2 has to maneuver through numerous sea areas with complex geographical and meteorological conditions, posing potential risks to maritime security and safety, including piracy and unlawful interference with vessels.

    PANO – On January 28, the Lai Chau Provincial Border Guard Command (Vietnam), in coordination with Honghe Border Management Unit and Jin Shui He Border Immigration Inspection Station (China), held a ceremony to launch the 2026 joint border patrol program and conducted the joint border patrol for January 2026.
