Vietnamese blue-beret soldiers in Central African Republic celebrate Tet together

PANO - Amidst the vast land of Central Africa Republic, where power and water outages are part of daily life, traditional Vietnamese fried spring rolls (nem ran) still make their appearance to welcome the Lunar New Year (Tet), complete with fresh herbs and garlic fish sauce. Ingredients brought from home, combined with local African produce, have created an early Tet celebration that is simple yet warm for Vietnamese blue-beret soldiers carrying out United Nations peacekeeping duties.
