“New Year holiday” of soldiers from Regiment 82

PANO - Alongside strictly maintaining combat readiness duty during the New Year 2026 holiday, Regiment 82 of Division 355 under Military Region 2 mobilized hundreds of officers and soldiers to carry out the 2025-2026 dry-season Westward Plan, supporting policy beneficiary families and local residents in Muong Nhe commune, Dien Bien province in repairing houses, schools and improving local environment.

MR 2 inspects combat readiness ahead of 14th National Party Congress

PANO - At 5:20 a.m. on January 2, a helicopter EC225 with tail number 8620 of Corps 18 landed at the helipad of the Institute of Orthopedics and Trauma under Military Hospital 175, transporting a critically ill patient from Nam Yet Island to the mainland for treatment.

Dak Lak Provincial Military Command successfully detonates bomb in Ea Hiao commune

PANO – On January 2, the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command announced that the Engineering Unit under the Staff of the Provincial Military Command, in coordination with the Defensive Area Command Region 2 – Krong Buk and the Military Command of Ea Hiao Commune, successfully handled and detonated a large bomb left over from the war in Ea Hiao Commune, ensuring absolute safety for personnel and equipment.

PANO - On December 31, the Party Committee, authorities, armed forces, and people of Dien Bien province held a memorial and burial ceremony for the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors, who sacrificed their lives while conducting international service in Laos in wartime.
