The troubled trawler safely arrives at the port of Flotilla 2.

Previously, on April 13, boat QB 92133 TS went adrift at 18049’N - 106049’E (approximately 60 nautical miles offshore) due to main engine failure while in rough seas and strong winds. Nguyen Van Diep, owner of the boat, born in 1978, a native of Thanh Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province, together with five fellow crewmen, sent out a mayday signal.

At 11:15 pm the same day, Coast Guard Region 1 received the mayday signal and immediately sent Ship CSB 2006 to the rescue. Reaching the scene at 8:30am on April 14, Ship CSB 2006 successfully towed the troubled trawler to Hon Ngu Island and handed it over to the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command.

Ship BP 06-13-01 of the Nghe An provincial Border Guard’s Flotilla 2 then safely towed the distressed boat with the six troubled fishermen on board to the unit’s port on April 15.
