Dien Bien soldier returns lost money to owner
PANO - On the morning of September 29, the Border Post of Tay Trang International Border Gate under the Dien Bien Provincial Border Guard Command handed over VND 85 million lost in cash to its owner.

At around 4:30 p.m. on September 28, while on duty in the area, non-commissioned Major Nong Van Thiet, working in drug and crime prevention division of the unit, found a bundle of cash. He immediately reported the find to his unit's chain-of-command. After counting, the money was determined to total VND 85 million.
The unit then posted notices on local social media pages and groups to locate the person who had lost the money. Shortly afterward, Tran Cong Tri, born in 1979 and residing in Tan Ngam hamlet, Nua Ngam commune, Dien Bien province, contacted the unit and said he had lost the money.
After verifying the information, the Border Post of Tay Trang International Border Gate and Maj. Thiet returned the VND 85 million to Tran Cong Tri.
