Under the agreements, Defense-Economic Unit 75 and the commune-level People’s Committees will focus on coordinating information sharing and monitoring local developments; carrying out defense and security tasks; strengthening grassroots political systems; and educating and mobilizing local people to comply with the Party’s guidelines and the State’s laws and policies. These efforts aim to maintain political security and social order and safety, while ensuring a secure local environment.
The cooperation agreements also establish mechanisms for the parties to pro-actively and regularly exchange information, provide timely recommendations, and address issues arising at the grassroots level, contributing to a firm posture of whole-people national defense closely integrated with the people’s security posture.

In socio-economic development, both sides will coordinate efforts to implement sustainable poverty reduction programs, build new-style rural areas, develop infrastructure, provide social welfare, and improve living standards. Particular emphasis will be placed on vocational training and job creation, with priority given to recruiting local workers, especially those from poor and near-poor households and ethnic minority communities, to work at the production teams of the unit.
The twinning agreements also outline various initiatives to strengthen ties between the unit and local ethnic communities via many effective model and initiatives. Other areas of cooperation include supporting economic development and employment, assisting policy beneficiary families, poor households, and disadvantaged children, coordinating disaster prevention and response, protecting the environment, supporting education, and organizing cultural and social activities in the localities.
Colonel Duong Kim Tuan, Commanding officer of the Defense-Economic Unit 75, underlined that the signing of twinning and cooperation agreements between the unit and the People’s Committees of Ia Krel, Duc Co, Ia Dok, and Ia O communes contributed to strengthening military-civilian solidarity and effectively mobilizing resources for socio-economic development in conjunction with defense and security, thereby building stable and prosperous border areas and firmly consolidating the posture of people’s hearts.
