He rested and received monitoring and treatment aboard the trawler; however, his condition did not improve and the pain became increasingly severe.

At 17:00 on September 25, Tran Van Dung was brought to Song Tu Tay island infirmary for emergency care. Upon examination, he was conscious but experiencing severe pain in the right kidney area. An ultrasound showed dilation of the right renal pelvis and calyces. Military doctors at the infirmary diagnosed him with right renal colic caused by an obstructing right ureteral stone, with the obstruction having persisted for two days.

The infirmary’s military medical team immediately provided emergency care and treatment according to the protocol for renal colic, while closely monitoring the patient’s condition. Following treatment, the patient remained conscious, experienced reduced pain, and initially responded well to treatment.
