The construction of the newly-built house was under the model of mobilizing financial resources and working days initiated and implemented by Da Nang city’s Border Guard Command.

Previously, Nhung’s family had lived in a downgraded house. However, they could not afford to repair it.

Learning about her situation, the Command of Da Nang Port Border Gate under the Da Nang city’s Border Guard Command, in association with local authorities, mobilized VND 140 million from the city-based companies, and sent troops to contribute 30 working days to the construction of the house.

At the handover ceremony, Nhung expressed her sincere thanks to local authorities, sponsors, and border guards for giving her a new house. She underlined that it would become a motivation for them to strive for a better life.

Over the past time, affiliated units under the Da Nang city’s Border Guard Command have effectively carried out the model. Senior Colonel Do Van Dong, Political Commissar of the command, held that in 2024 alone, they have mobilized VND 350 million from sponsors to repair and build new houses for local needy households and policy beneficiaries and contributed 385 working days to the construction of these houses.
