Delegation departs Cam Ranh Port to deliver Tet gifts to island troops and residents

The delegation includes nearly 100 officials and reporters from central and local media agencies.

To ensure the support for troops and residents on the islands of Truong Sa island district during the Lunar New Year 2025 holidays, Naval Region 4 has prepared essential goods, supplies, and Tet gifts.

In his address at the send-off ceremony, Dinh Van Thieu, Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee, extended warm wishes for health, happiness, and a cozy, safe Lunar New Year celebration to the troops and residents in Truong Sa district. He emphasized that this journey is a meaningful activity reflecting the care and support from the mainland for those living and carrying out missions on the remote islands. It serves to encourage troops and residents to overcome all challenges and fulfill their mission of safeguarding the sovereignty of Vietnam’s sea and islands.

Senior Captain Ngo Dinh Xuyen, Deputy Commander of Naval Region 4, urged the delegation aboard the ship to uphold their sense of responsibility, solidarity, and resilience in overcoming difficulties, ensuring the Tet gifts reach the  troops and residents in Truong Sa district as planned and in absolute safety. He highlighted that this special mission demonstrates the care of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense, and the entire nation, including overseas Vietnamese, toward the national sea and islands, and particularly Truong Sa district.
