The solar-powered lighting line is part of the project entitled “Lighting villages,” stretching over 3.2 kilometers, passing through three villages of Ia Krai commune, namely Doc Krot, Doch Kue, and Kam. Lamp posts are made of stainless steel and there are 71 light bulbs, with 300W each bulb.

The total construction cost of over VND 185 million was funded by Corps 15.

This newly-inaugurated lighting facility will help facilitate travel and daily activities of more than 1,000 households, contributing to the building of new-style rural areas and improving locals’ living standards.

Addressing the event, Secretary of the Party Committee of Ia Krai commune Siu Tin expressed thanks to Corps 15 and personnel of Company 715. He congratulated people of Doc Krot, Doch Kue and Kam villages on the practical and meaningful lighting facility.

According to the local official, this facility helps light up the village, and the faith of people in the ethnic locality with many difficulties in socio-economy.

He also laid stress on the assistance from Corps 15 and Company 715 for Ia Krai commune, its party committee, authorities and people over the past time in building new-style rural areas, eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, providing seedlings, livestock and techniques for production development and sustainable poverty reduction, eliminating bad customs, and building a great national unity bloc and a strong people’s heart disposition.
