Senior Captain Pham Dinh Thanh, Deputy Political Commissar of the Command attended and directed the event.

During the event, former cadres of the Youth Union Organization in the South visited the accommodation and training areas of naval officers and soldiers on warships. They also learned about the construction, combat and development of the Vietnam People’s Navy at the Hall of Fame of Naval Region 3 and had meals with troops of Brigades 161 and 172 and Naval Region 3 Command. In addition, they had artistic exchanges and experience sharing on Youth Union work in the past struggle for national salvation, current Fatherland defense cause and national socio-economic development.

At the event, the liaison committee launched a composition contest under the theme “For beloved Hoang Sa (Paracel), Truong Sa (Spratly),” presented 20 gifts to children of Naval Region 3 troops, who suffer from seriously-illness, undergo long-term treatment and whose families live in hard conditions.

On the occasion, Saigon Victory Commercial Joint-stock Company presented a motorbike to the child of a naval troop with good records in the 2023-2024 academic year.

The program was part of the journey entitled “Beloved Da Nang – Aspiration to go farther” specially-designed for former cadres of Youth Union Organization in the South to help them be aware of the Naval Service and Naval Region 3 Command’s development.

It also served as an opportunity for cadres and members of the Youth Union Organization of Naval Region 3 to exchange experience skills in Youth Union work activities to well perform their assignments, practically contributing to the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army.
