The MND had previously allocated funds to construct 100 houses in Dien Bien Province, each valued at VND 50 million. Specifically, 71 houses were built in Muong Pon Commune, with a total funding of VND 3.55 billion.

During the construction process, the Dien Bien District People's Committee coordinated closely with the Provincial Military Command to implement the project according to the set plan. The Provincial Military Command mobilized 110 officers and soldiers to contribute 3,520 working days to level ground, lay foundations, transport materials, and construct and roof the houses. Of the 71 houses, 52 were built in resettlement positions, and 19 in other stable locations.

In addition to housing support, Regiment 82 of Division 355 (Military Region 2) sent over 200 officers and soldiers to work with local forces and more than 480 residents to clear debris, clean fields, dredged 15 canals, and excavated a new 4,870m-long canal to ensure water supply for the Winter-Spring crop season.

Moving forward, the Dien Bien District People's Committee will direct the Muong Pon Commune authorities to enhance coordination with local forces, accelerate the construction of essential infrastructure in residential areas. Efforts are underway to complete all resettlement arrangements in Muong Pon Commune before the Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays of 2025.
