According to the report delivered at the event, over the past year, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command, in collaboration with the provinces, has conducted legal education for nearly 70,000 officials, Party members, residents, fishermen, and students in coastal areas. Through the program, more than 3,000 national flags, portraits of President Ho Chi Minh, medical kits, and various gifts have been presented to fishermen.
Through the “I love the national sea and islands” competitions, over 400 bicycles and scholarships have been awarded to underprivileged students. Additionally, 12 students in particularly challenging circumstances have been adopted. In addition, the coast guard force has also maintained regular rescue and relief operations, deploying 10 ships and boats throughout the year to assist vessels and fishermen in distress at sea.
At the conference, delegates agreed that the “Coast Guards stand by fishermen” program in 2024 had been implemented effectively and consistently by the Coast Guard Region 4 Command, recording practical results and earning recognition and praise from local authorities and residents. It has contributed to improving the effectiveness of mass mobilization work in the current context, strengthening national unity, fostering patriotism and love for the sea and islands, and raising awareness of and responsibility among the population for safeguarding sovereignty, security, and safety.

Furthermore, delegates discussed obstacles and difficulties encountered during the program's implementation, analyzed their causes, and drew valuable lessons. They reached a consensus on continuing to innovate program contents, methods, and approaches to ensure that it remains effective, practical, comprehensive, and synchronized.
At the conference, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command awarded 41 collectives and 30 individuals for their outstanding contributions to the program in 2024.
