Among the fallen soldiers, four were formerly troops of Company 216 of Regiment 812 under the Binh Thuan Provincial Military Command. Their remains were found in Ham My commune, Ham Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan province.
The two remaining sets of remains are of soldiers in the anti-American resistance war. Both were unearthed in Thuan Hoa and Dong Giang communes of Ham Thuan Bac district.
