The meeting reviewed preparations for the send-off ceremony for the Level-2 Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 8 and Engineering Company Rotation 5, as well as the welcome ceremony for the L2FH Rotation 7 and Engineering Company Rotation 4 upon completion of their tasks.

Reporting at the working session, Sr. Col. Mac Duc Trong, Deputy Director of the Viet Nam Department of Peacekeeping Operations (VNDPKO), said the send-off ceremony was scheduled for September 22. The department is coordinating closely with relevant agencies and units to finalize the program, scripts and plans for the event.
In terms of force preparation, the Engineering Company Rotation 5 and L2FH Rotation 8 have completed their training programs. Both units fully meet the deployment requirements of the U.N. and the Viet Nam People’s Army and are ready to carry out their missions.
Regarding military homefront policies, the VNDPKO held a democratic dialogue with personnel of the two departing units to better understand their thoughts and aspirations and ensure that their entitlements and policies are fully implemented in accordance with regulations. The department is also continuing to review and process policies for personnel currently deployed whose terms of service are nearing completion.
Concluding the working session, Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Truong Thang praised the pro-active preparations made by the relevant agencies and units.
He asked the VNDPKO to take the lead in conducting a comprehensive review and finalizing plans for the event, maintain regular coordination with relevant units, and promptly report any arising issues and propose appropriate solutions.
Highlighting the significance of the event in demonstrating Viet Nam’s active and responsible participation in U.N. peacekeeping operations, he stressed that the ceremonies must be organized thoroughly, solemnly, and with absolute safety.

He also called for stronger communication efforts to highlight the contributions of Vietnamese peacekeeping forces.
The Deputy Minister of National Defense further emphasized the need for the agencies and units to pay close attention to ideological work and fully implement military rear policies, particularly for personnel facing difficult circumstances.
Regarding the L2FH Rotation 7 and Engineering Company Rotation 4, he requested the units to strictly carry out the handover of tasks and equipment, maintain discipline observance, ensure safety, and prevent any disruption to operations during the rotation and repatriation process.
