LPA’s delegation visits Vietnam
PANO – Lieutenant General Pham Hong Huong, Deputy-Chief-of-the-General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), hosted a reception for a delegation of the Department of Military Power and the Department of Local Military Missions under the General Staff of the Laos People’s Army (LPA), led by Colonel Saichay Kommasith, Director of the LPA’s Department of Military Personnel, at the defense ministry’s headquarters on September 8.
At the reception, the guest briefed the host on the outcomes of their previous meeting with the Department of Military Personnel and the Department of Militia Force of the VPA’s General Staff. Accordingly, the two sides exchanged experience on forces building, troop recruitment and management, defense-military education and so on.

Highly valuing the results of the meeting, the host hoped that the two sides will continue to further their close collaboration in the time to come, focusing on consolidating personnel, organizations, and the building of the militia force in border areas. He also reaffirmed that the VPA’s General Staff would always create favorable conditions for the two agencies to contribute to deepening the defense ties between the two nations.
