Since 2015, Viet Nam has provided financial assistance to Cambodia for the construction, repair, and restoration of 24 friendship monuments. Viet Nam has also supported the renovation and upgrading of the National Council’s offices and provided equipment and material assistance.
Looking ahead, the two sides reaffirmed that the Viet Nam-Cambodia Friendship Monuments in Cambodia are significant historical and cultural landmarks representing the relationship between the two countries. Therefore, they should be managed, preserved, protected, and promoted to their full value, contributing to strengthening solidarity and friendship between the two nations.
The two sides should continue to coordinate in promoting public awareness of the significance and historical context of the Viet Nam-Cambodia Friendship Monuments, thereby encouraging them to further strengthen and foster increasingly close and enduring cooperation.
Both sides believed that they would successfully implement the policies of the two Governments on protecting and promoting the value of Viet Nam-Cambodia Friendship Monuments in Cambodia.
