Viet Nam, China strengthen cooperation in border management and protection
PANO – The Border Post of Sam Pun Border Gate under Viet Nam’s Tuyen Quang provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with the Chinese border management and protection force to conduct a bilateral patrol for the third quarter of 2026 on September 30.
The forces from both sides patrolled and inspected the border section from border markers No.449 to No.451. During the mission, they jointly inspected the border and border markers, exchanged information on border management and protection, and disseminated information to encourage local people in border areas to strictly comply with the laws and legal documents governing the border between the two countries.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Giang, Commanding Officer of the Border Post of Sam Pun Border Gate, together with maintaining bilateral patrols, the unit has regularly exchanged information and updates with Chinese border management and protection forces. They have pro-actively coordinated efforts to address issues related to border management and protection, contributing to strengthening coordination between the two sides, ensuring timely situational development, and maintaining security and order in border areas.
