Vietnam and Laos to boost logistics cooperation
PANO – Deputy-Defense Minister, Senior-Lieutenant-General Tran Don on August 22 hosted a reception at the Ministry’s headquarters for a visiting delegation of the General Department of Logistics of the Lao Ministry of National Defense, led by Lieutenant-General Vongkham Phommakone.

At the reception, the two generals agreed that over the past time, the two defense ministries have cooperated well in the logistics field, especially in maintaining adequate supplies for Lao cadets studying in Vietnam.
General Vongkham Phommakone reviewed results of previous conference between the two sides toward cooperation in training and sending experts to help the General Department of Logistics of the Lao Ministry of National Defense, contributing to improving abilities of logistics’ staff to meet all requirements in the new context.
Having hailed the results of the conference, General Don affirmed that the Ministry of National Defense under the Vietnam People’s Army has always created favorable conditions to foster logistics cooperation between the two defense ministries.
Earlier, General Vongkham Phommakone met with Lieutenant-General Duong Van Ra, Director of the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People's Army to discuss measures to boost the cooperation.
As scheduled, within the framework of the working visit to Vietnam, General Vongkham Phommakone will visit some Vietnamese military units to exchange experience.
