Thi Hoa Border Post takes charge of managing and protecting a 22.505km long border section in Thi Hoa and Co Ngan communes, Ha Lang district, Cao Bang province. To effectively carry out the assigned tasks, the unit has closely followed local situations, promoted the role of people at the grassroots level; and boosted dissemination to raise border people’s awareness of law observance.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trung Kien, Head of Thi Hoa Border Post, shared that during task performance, the unit made good preparations and raised a high sense of combat readiness; pro-actively detected and addressed arising issues in a timely manner as regulated; and strictly observed regulations while in task implementation.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Luong Van Duong, Political Commissar of Thi Hoa Border Post, together with protecting the border and border markers, the patrol force has regularly cleaned up border markers and surrounding environment; popularized and encouraged people to observe the Party’s guidelines and policies and the State’s law. Therefore, local people actively engaged in activities to prevent and fight against acts of sovereignty infringement, border encroachment, and law violations, among others.

With the motto “Keeping close connection with people and supporting people,” the unit has effectively implemented programs and models, particularly “Military officers pave ways to school for children”; helping people in production activities and developing household economy, among others.
With these practical activities, the unit is highly appreciated by local authorities and people in Thi Hoa and Co Ngan communes. According to Chairman of the Ha Lang district People’s Committee, the Politburo’s Resolution No.33-NQ/TW dated September 28, 2018, on the Strategy on National Border Protection clearly stated that the management and protection of the national border is an important and regular task of the entire Party, people, political system and the whole country, in which border guard is a specialized force, first come and last stay in the protection of national border.
And officers and soldiers of Thi Hoa Border Post have demonstrated their capability and the close ties between the military and civilians, joining hands with local people to build a firm posture of all people’s border defense.
