The delegation inspected records, documents, and books at relevant agencies of the Nghe An provincial Military Command and met with officers and soldiers to learn about their thoughts and aspirations.
Reporting on the inspection results, a representative from the delegation said that Party committees and chains-of-command of the Nghe An provincial Military Command and the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command had thoroughly grasped and implemented the Party directives and resolutions, State laws, and regulations issued by the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 4, the Border Guard Command, and the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee regarding Task 1389, the handling of crime reports and information, administrative violations, and local military and defense tasks, achieving positive results.

The provincial military command proactively grasped local situations, strictly maintained patrols, and effectively implemented measures to prevent and combat drug-related crimes, human trafficking, and cross-border smuggling.
The reception and handling of information, as well as coordination with relevant agencies, were maintained regularly, contributing to maintaining political security. Positive results were also recorded in inspection, investigation, citizen reception, the settlement of complaints and denunciations, and anti-corruption work.
However, the inspection delegation also pointed out several shortcomings in the units’ prevention and combat of crime, drugs, human trafficking, and smuggling, as well as in the handling of administrative violations.

Concluding the inspection, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau highly valued the Nghe An provincial Military Command and the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command for their thorough preparation and positive results in implementing Task 1389.
He requested the units to seriously study the delegation’s comments and develop specific plans to address the identified shortcomings, clearly defining completion deadlines and individual responsibilities.
In the coming time, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau asked the Nghe An provincial Military Command to continue thoroughly grasping directives and guidance on Task 1389, improve its forecasting capabilities, and accurately identify targets and areas requiring proactive prevention and combat measures.
He also requested the unit to launch peak campaigns to suppress crime, strictly handle crime reports and information, strengthen internal management, and enhance legal education for officers and soldiers, thereby contributing to building a comprehensively strong unit.
Regarding the locality’s proposals, the Deputy Minister of National Defense assigned competent agencies to continue studying and reviewing them and advising on solutions within their authority.
