Defense leader inspects Military Region 3’s units
PANO - On August 11, a Ministry of National Defense delegation led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Deputy Minister of National Defense, inspected the military and defense tasks at Brigade 242 and Regiment 43 (Division 395, Military Region 3).
The delegation stressed that since the beginning of the year, the Party committees and commanders of both units have strictly implemented higher levels’ military and defense directives. They have maintained on-duty posture and practiced combat scenarios to ensure they are not caught off guard in any situation.

Furthermore, they have executed the “Sustainable air defense dome” combat plan in accordance with regulations, organized rigorous training with a focus on night operations, and improved maneuverability to effectively meet assigned mission requirements.
Concluding the inspection, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc commended Brigade 242 and Regiment 43 for their achievements while pointing out shortcomings that need to be addressed. He urged them to strictly maintain combat readiness, and review and update combat documents as directed and in line with their specific conditions and missions.
The units were also instructed to organize intensive training courses for all personnel, promote competitions and sports festivals, and make thorough preparations for realistic military exercises.
Both units’ chains-of-command were required to strictly maintain regularity, closely manage troops’ physical strength and discipline, and successfully build comprehensively strong, “exemplary and typical” units.

At the same time, the Deputy Minister asked the units to maintain adequate material reserves for combat readiness in accordance with Directive No.15/CT-TM of the Chief of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People’s Army; ensure sufficient and timely logistical and technical support for both regular and unexpected missions; strictly manage defense land and combat facilities; and proactively coordinate with relevant agencies to review and hand over defense land plots in accordance with regulations.
