Two sea trips at the beginning of the year

On January 1, 2025, hundreds of officers, soldiers and their relatives were present at Flotilla 129’s military port to see off the ships before their trip to DK1 platforms ahead of the Tet 2025 holiday. This was the first sea voyage of the year, carrying the sentiments of the mainland to troops on duty in the Southern continental shelf of the country.

Encouraging the troops on duty at DK1 platforms, Naval Captain Tran Manh Chien, Political Commissar of the Naval Region 2 Command, assigned tasks and presented flowers to the two delegation leaders.

Naval Captain Do Hong Duyen, Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 2, encouraged each soldier to excellently complete their mission at DK1 platforms.

Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Dang Cuong, Head of Ship Truong Sa 02, said that the ship has a plan to transport goods and Tet gifts to DK1 platforms. No matter how difficult or hard it is, the goods and Tet gifts will be delivered to the officers and soldiers.

Young troops determined to complete their assigned missions

On the sea voyage, there are many young soldiers from the Naval Region 2 Training Center who have just been assigned to DK1 Battalion.

Welcoming spring at sea for the first time, each soldier had different emotions, but they shared the same goal, determination to firmly protect the national sovereignty over sea and islands during the coming Tet holiday.

From Dong Nai province, Petty Officer Third Class Huynh Minh Nhut held that even though he missed his parents, he was determined to excellently complete all assigned tasks. He also wanted to send New Year wishes to his relatives.

The gifts will encourage the troops on duty at sea to firmly safeguard the national sovereignty over sea and islands so as to ensure a peaceful Tet holiday for the nation.
