Naval leader checks Truong Sa and DK1 platforms
PANO - A delegation of the Naval Service, led by its Commander Rear Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem, on April 24-28 visited and inspected several islands of the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago (Khanh Hoa province) and DK1 platforms.

Accordingly, the delegation comprehensively checked performance of training and combat readiness missions, regularity building, discipline observance, Party and political work, technical and logistic services, and more.
The delegation hailed the task performance of the units stationed in Truong Sa district and on DK1 platforms. Particularly, the units have heightened solidarity and promoted coordination to surmount difficulties and complete their assignments.

The units have effectively implemented mass mobilization work, creating favorable conditions for fishermen from Southern provinces to continue fishing at sea. Medical staff on islands has also provided free health check-ups and treatment for local fishermen.
Concluding the working session, Rear Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem required troops on islands and DK1 platforms to address limitations and map out concrete plans to fulfill all assigned missions.

On the sideline of the visit, the delegation organized cultural and artistic exchange programs, offered incense at cultural and spiritual projects, and presented gifts to troops, islanders and the forces on duty on islands and DK1 platforms.
