The Vietnamese delegation lays flowers in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Asian Civilizations Museum.

Within the framework of the annual visit and exchange, the Vietnamese young officer delegation visited the Basic Military Training Center of the Singapore Armed Forces. At Singapore’s largest military training base, both sides exchanged and shared valuable experience in fields of mutual interest, including training activities, daily routines, studying as well as political and ideological work for new recruits.

The Vietnamese delegation visits the Basic Military Training Center of the Singapore Armed Forces.

Visiting Changi Naval Base and the Singapore Air Force Museum, the two sides affirmed the similarities between the naval and air forces of the two countries. Vietnamese young officers were introduced to the tradition, combat competence of the Singapore Air Force, as well as the power of the fleet of fighter jets owned by the force.

Besides, the Singapore side also introduced the Vietnamese delegation to several training exercises for combat ships, measures to avoid collision at sea and control ships while facing strong winds and high waves, to name but a few.

According to Senior Colonel Tran Huu Dung, Deputy Head of the Military Youth Advisory Board and Head of the Vietnamese delegation, the exchange activities offered an opportunity for Vietnamese young officers to learn, share and exchange experience during their task implementation.

This is the 10th year that the two countries’ Ministries of National Defense have agreed to organize the event. It has contributed to affirming the determination of young officers in preserving and deepening the Vietnam-Singapore friendship; showing the solidarity, trust and mutual understanding between the two militaries.

Through various exchange activities, young officers further enhanced their roles as key figures in dissemination and education, becoming a firm bridge to consolidate and deepen the strategic partnership between the two nations.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese delegation visited and laid flowers in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Asian Civilizations Museum. They vowed to make more contribution to building a peaceful, independent and prosperous Vietnam and fostering the Vietnam-Singapore relations.
