Viet Nam Coast Guard signs contract to build TT-1500 vessels

Representatives of relevant agencies under the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Finance and the Viet Nam Coast Guard attend the conference.

Lieutenant General Le Dinh Cuong, Commander of the Viet Nam Coast Guard, chaired the conference.

At the conference, representatives of relevant agencies presented a brief report on the project implementation process and the main contents of the contract, reached agreement on related matters, and proceeded to sign the contract. They also provided information and materials to support the construction of the vessel in Viet Nam.

Addressing the conference, Lt. Gen. Le Dinh Cuong emphasized that the implementation of the TT-1500 high-speed patrol vessel construction project using a concessional loan from the Government of India is of practical significance and marks a new step in the development and modernization of the Viet Nam Coast Guard's fleet. It is also the first time that the Viet Nam Coast Guard has signed a contract under a project funded by a concessional loan from the Government of India, contributing to promoting friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and India, including defense cooperation.

Gen. Cuong called on all parties to closely coordinate, fully fulfill their rights and obligations under the contract, and comply with Vietnamese law and relevant regulations.

He also requested that relevant agencies, units and enterprises focus on implementing their tasks according to the contract, ensuring progress, quality and effectiveness, while pro-actively exchanging information and promptly coordinating to resolve difficulties and problems arising during the project implementation.

With close coordination and a strong sense of responsibility among all parties, the project is expected to be implemented on schedule and with the required quality and effectiveness, contributing to enhancing the Viet Nam Coast Guard's law enforcement capabilities at sea and further consolidating the sound friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and India.
