Regarding defense cooperation, the Vietnamese defense leader highly valued the Belarusian Ministry of Defense’s provision of free scholarships and preferential training quotas for Vietnamese military cadets at the academy, describing it as a highly practical outcome. This provides a great opportunity for the cadets to acquire military knowledge and train in a formal military environment while deepening their understanding of the country and people of Belarus.
Highly valuing the teaching quality, professionalism, and dedication of the academy’s professors and instructors, he expressed his hope that the academy would uphold its traditions, further improve training quality, and continue supporting Vietnamese military cadets. Upon returning to Viet Nam, they will apply this knowledge to their work, helping to nurture the ties between the two militaries and peoples.

Briefing General Nguyen Trong Nghia and the delegation at the meeting, Sergeant Huynh Hong Anh, Head of the Vietnamese military cadet group in Belarus, said that they have always been pro-active in their studies, achieving good and excellent results with no rule violations. He added that the Military Academy of Belarus has taken great care in arranging dormitory accommodations for the group. In addition, thanks to the encouragement from their families and the care of chains-of-command at all levels and managing units, the cadets maintain peace of mind during their training, forge strong internal solidarity, and strictly abide by the academy’s regulations and the host country’s laws.

Having heard the report, General Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed his delight that the younger generation is being trained at an institution with such a rich tradition. He noted that many Vietnamese military cadets who graduated from the academy have matured into key officers working at agencies and units within the military.
He urged the cadets to carry forward this tradition, clearly define their responsibilities, and strive for progress. During their studies and daily life, they should build good relationships with international friends, thereby preserving the noble image of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers. Each Vietnamese cadet must serve as a bridge contributing to strengthening bilateral solidarity and friendship.
