Army Corps 12 sent nearly 2,400 troops and 119 vehicles to reinforce 3,250m of dikes in Hanoi and Bac Ninh; clean 26km of roads in Thai Nguyen; evacuate 250 households to safety, and repair 111 houses in Hanoi.

Border guard units dispatched 239 troops to assist in Lang Son, Cao Bang, and Tuyen Quang provinces, while continuing the search for seven missing people in Quang Tri province.

The Commando Corps mobilized 156 troops and 32 vehicles to deliver 5,500 relief packages (instant noodles, milk, bottled water) to residents in Bac Ninh province, and to help 30 families move belongings from temporary shelters back home in Thai Nguyen province.

The Hanoi Capital Command mobilized 1,115 troops and militiamen with trucks and boats to support flood recovery. Military Region 4 dispatched 340 troops to clean cultural houses and martyrs’ memorials in Nghe An province. The General Department of Logistics and Technical Services mobilized 38 trucks to transport relief goods to Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, and Lang Son.

* Earlier on October 11, the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services launched a campaign to assist people in post-flood disease prevention in Military Region 1. Three mobile military medical teams were deployed to Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, and Bac Ninh to disinfect water sources and public facilities, collect and dispose of waste and dead animals, and educate people on hygiene and disease prevention. The teams also provided medical check-ups, vaccination, and epidemiological surveillance to detect and respond promptly to possible outbreaks.

In Trung Gia commune (Hanoi), Division 312 (Army Corps 12) directed its Regiment 141 continued providing food and relief to isolated residents, ensuring essentials for displaced families, and cleaning the environment.

Meanwhile, hundreds of troops from Brigades 575 and 382 (Military Region 1) and Regiment 832 (the Thai Nguyen Provincial Military Command) cleared mud and debris in Dan Tien commune (Thai Nguyen), which had been isolated by landslides.

In addition, Regiment 209 (Division 312, Army Corps 12) deployed 500 troops to clean streets, collect waste, and assist locals in moving damaged belongings in Thai Nguyen after the historical floods. Lieutenant Colonel Le Duc Anh, Political Chief of the regiment, said that the unit follows the motto “clean up right where the water recedes,” and will remain on site until all tasks are completed.
