Medical care and gifts for flood-affected residents in Dien Bien
PANO - On October 9, the Dien Bien Provincial Military Command, in coordination with the provincial Department of Health, organized free medical check-ups, health consultations, medicine distribution, and gift-presentation for flood-affected residents in Xa Dung and Tia Dinh communes, Dien Bien province.

In Xa Dung commune, the unit’s medical team, and local doctors and healthcare workers checked health, gave advice, medicine and gifts to 100 flood-affected residents, disadvantaged households, policy beneficiaries, and elderly people in need. Additionally, the Dien Bien Provincial Military Command organized legal education for residents.
Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Trinh Duc Thiem, Head of the Dien Bien Provincial Military Command, emphasized that immediately after the flash floods hit Xa Dung, Tia Dinh, and Na Son communes, the Dien Bien Provincial Military Command promptly mobilized hundreds of officers and soldiers to evacuate residents and their property to safe areas, and assist them in flood recovery and environmental cleanup efforts.

The Dien Bien Provincial Military Command will continue to provide practical assistance to flood-affected residents in the time to come, thereby strengthening the bond between the military and the people, and reinforcing their trust in the Party, the State, and the military.
As scheduled, on October 10, a similar program took place in Tia Dinh commune, benefiting 100 locals.
The total value of the activities conducted in Xa Dung and Tia Dinh communes was more than VND 140 million.
