* On the afternoon of October 10, at a conference to discuss post-flood epidemic prevention in Military Region 1, Major General Phung Ngoc Son, Deputy Director and Chief-of-Staff of the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services, requested relevant agencies and units to urgently deploy disease prevention measures, ensure adequate medicines, disinfectants, and medical equipment, and use chloramine B to disinfect water sources and prevent disease outbreaks.
* The same day, while inspecting flood recovery efforts in Thai Nguyen province, Major General Truong Manh Dung, Commander of Military Region 1, praised the local armed forces for their high sense of responsibility and service to the people. He requested the forces to continue mobilizing personnel and equipment to help locals clean up and repair schools, medical stations, and houses, and distribute relief goods to affected families.
