An overview of the meeting

Meanwhile, the military has pro-actively proposed measures and thoughtfully carried out policies for those who participated in the fight for national independence and international services. Defense agencies and military units have closely worked with functional agencies to provide one-time grants and monthly allowance to 260,000 people who participated in the resistance war against French colonialists, 1.7 million people who joined the Resistance War against U.S. invaders, more than 1.3 million people who fought in the national defense war and carried out international services in Laos and Cambodia, and 1.4 million frontline workers.

These aforementioned activities have contributed to the Party and people’s efforts in taking care of policy beneficiaries and national contributors and educating troops, especially young generations, on the tradition "When drinking water, remember its sources."
