At the event, Deputy Director of the Tra Vinh provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs To Thi Thu Hong expressed thanks to the MND for its thorough reception during the provincial delegation of national contributors’ visit to the capital city and paying tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum.

The female official said that the province’s Party committee and authorities have paid due attention to regulations and policies for national contributors.

She informed that the province has nearly 65,000 national contributors, of them over 11,000 have been receiving monthly allowances.

Addressing the meeting, Major General Doan Quang Hoa emphasized that over the past years, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense have directed functional agencies to work closely with ministries, central and local departments to give recommendations and proposals to the Party and State to issue documents on regulations and policies for wounded, sick and fallen soldiers, national contributors, and troops’ families.

He briefed the guests on the outcomes of the gratitude movements in the whole military, the search and repatriation of remains of martyrs, the identification of fallen troops, and the military’s active suggestions to help ensure policies for those engaged in resistance wars against foreign invaders, Fatherland protection war, and taking on international missions.

National contributors receive gifts. 

At the event, Gen. Hoa presented the MND’s gifts to 60 national contributors from Tra Vinh province.
