At the meeting, Deputy Director of the Hue Municipal Department of Home Affairs Le Xuan Hai reported outstanding results in the city’s efforts to care for revolutionary contributors. Accordingly, the city ensure welfare in a timely and precise manner in accordance with preferential policies for its nearly 80,000 national contributors and their families.

In his remarks, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh expressed deep gratitude for the great contribution and sacrifices of heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, heroic Vietnamese mothers, individuals and families who contributed to the city’s revolutionary movement during the struggle for national liberation, as well as in the construction and defense cause of the Fatherland. He also emphasized that in recent years, the Central Military Commission and the MND have directed relevant agencies to pro-actively assess situations and, in close coordination with central ministries, departments, and localities, to study and recommend amendments as well as the issuance of legal documents concerning policies for national contributors and servicemembers’ families.
Under the direction of the General Department of Political Affairs, agencies and units, in close coordination with the local Party committees and authorities, have promptly and thoroughly implemented various policies, particularly long-standing ones.

Notably, movements, such as the “Paying Gratitude,” “Military units join hands to build new-style rural areas,” and “Military units join hands for the poor – Leaving no one behind” have been actively implemented by agencies and units throughout the entire military, featuring numerous practical and profoundly significant activities.
On this occasion, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh handed over 40 gifts to the delegation of national contributors from Hue city.
