During the resistance war for national liberation and the war for Fatherland protection, under the leadership of the Party, the people of Kon Tum province wholeheartedly followed the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, making great contribution in both manpower and resources to the cause of national liberation and reunification.

Promoting the revolutionary tradition of the province, in recent years, the Party organization, authorities, military, and people of Kon Tum have continuously overcome difficulties, demonstrated dynamism and creativity, and achieved important and comprehensive accomplishments. Notably, the province has consistently prioritized the implementation of policies for those who rendered meritorious services to the revolution, ensuring these policies are carried out thoughtfully and thoroughly.

Reporting on the implementation of preferential policies for revolutionary contributors, Deputy Director of the Kon Tum Provincial Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Thanh Tinh stated that the province is currently managing and implementing policies for 50,660 individuals. Kon Tum has promptly and fully implemented the policies for revolutionary contributors, focusing on resolving long-standing issues related to the recognition and certification of such individuals. To date, 99.37% of policy beneficiaries and national contributors have a standard of living equal to or higher than that of the local population. Moreover, 100% of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers have been cared for and supported for life by various agencies, units, and enterprises.

Speaking at the meeting on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of National Defense (MND) and the General Department of Political Affairs, Deputy Director of the Policy and Social Affairs Department and Director of the MND’s Social Insurance, Major General Cao Xuan Thang, warmly welcomed and extended best wishes to the delegates from Kon Tum.

General Thang emphasized that in recent years, the Central Military Commission and the MND have led and directed relevant agencies to closely coordinate with central ministries, departments, and localities in researching and recommending amendments and issuances of legal documents concerning policies for revolutionary contributors and troops’ families, with special attention given to contributors from Kon Tum province. Many meaningful and practical initiatives have been carried out in honor of revolutionary contributors, thus meeting their expectations and reinforcing their trust in the Party, State, and military.

On this occasion, the MND presented gifts to members of the delegation of revolutionary contributors from Kon Tum province.
