At the Military Intelligence Training School and Depot, the delegation received a briefing on the institution and the achievements of Indian military intelligence. During a meeting with Major General R. P. Pandey, Deputy Commandant of the school, Senior Captain Le Hao said that the delegation members were outstanding officers selected from various units and had the honor of representing young VPA officers in the exchange program in India.
Sr. Capt. Le Hao emphasized that Viet Nam-India relations have deep historical roots and have been built and nurtured by the two great leaders, President Ho Chi Minh and Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. He affirmed that young officers from both countries would serve as an important bridge, helping further deepen bilateral friendship and promote increasingly sustainable cooperation and mutual trust between the two countries in general and their militaries in particular.
For his part, Major General R. P. Pandey expressed his positive impressions of the Viet Nam People’s Army, noting that the two militaries had maintained good relations. He also expressed his hope that more meetings, exchanges and interactions would take place in the future.

On the same day, the delegation visited the Indian Army Institute of Physical Training, Battalion 15 of Light Infantry Division Maratha, Infantry Brigade 330 and Light Air Defense Regiment 126.
Earlier, on October 18, the delegation visited Aga Khan Palace.
The officers heard an introduction on one of Pune’s finest architectural masterpieces, which is also a historical site closely associated with India’s independence movement. They also learned about the life and struggle of Mahatma Gandhi, the Indian leader who dedicated himself to the cause of freedom, justice and peace.
The young officers’ exchange program in India provides VPA officers with an opportunity to broaden their military knowledge and experience while gaining a deeper understanding of the host country’s history, culture and military affairs.
