PANO - On October 11, at the Cham Cultural Exhibition Center in Bac Binh commune, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Lam Dong province organized the opening ceremony of folk culture activities and the thematic exhibition “Colors of the Cham culture” within the framework of the Kate Festival 2026.

The program includes various activities such as practicing traditional rituals, demonstrating pottery, weaving, and gingerbread making, and introducing the distinctive features of the Cham people’s cultural life. A highlight of the event is the exhibition displaying 40 photographs of the Cham architectural and sculptural heritage in Lam Dong, honoring historical and artistic values passed down across generations.

In his opening remarks, Hoang Ngoc Huy, Director of the Lam Dong provincial Museum, emphasized the significance of developing the center into a space for preserving, educating, experiencing, and promoting heritage. Accordingly, the activities organized aim to create an environment for religious leaders to practice rituals, artisans to introduce traditional crafts, the younger generation to learn the script, and the community to directly participate in preserving and spreading cultural values.

Through this program, the museum aims to strengthen the connection between the museum and historical sites, traditional craft villages, the Cham community, and cultural tourism activities; encouraging organizations, individuals, collectors, and the public to participate in collecting, donating, and providing documents and artifacts for research, preservation, and promotion of heritage values. In doing so, the Cham culture will continue to be preserved in community life, contributing to enriching the cultural identity of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
