The delegation included 50 representatives who are wounded and sick soldiers, and families of those who had rendered meritorious service to the revolution. Deputy Director of the Department of Social Policy and Director of the Military Social Insurance Major General Cao Xuan Thang presided over the reception.

At the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Dong Nai Province Doan Thi Thu Thuy presented a report on the province’s efforts in caring for and implementing policies for wounded and sick soldiers, martyrs’ families, revolution contributors, and beneficiaries of social welfare programs.

According to her, Dong Nai Province currently manages more than 85,000 records, including over 77,000 files of national contributors and their relatives, as well as nearly 8,000 cases receiving one-time allowances under decisions of the Prime Minister. The province has issued various policies to support national contributors and their families and regularly organizes activities to honor martyrs and assist their families. In 2025, Dong Nai collected 122 sets of martyrs’ remains.

Speaking at the event, General Thang expressed profound gratitude for the great sacrifices and contributions of heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and families with meritorious service to the revolution in Dong Nai Province.

He affirmed that in recent years, under the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, relevant agencies have closely worked with ministries, central agencies, and local authorities to study, propose, and promptly issue or amend policies concerning national contributors and troops’ families. These efforts have met the legitimate aspirations of policy beneficiaries while fostering the spirit of gratitude among officers and soldiers, especially the younger generation, in line with the nation’s noble traditions of “When drinking water, remember its source” and “Paying  gratitude.”
