Under the Ministry of National Defense (MND)’s decision, Rear Admiral Nguyen Anh Tuan, Commander of Naval Region 2, is now take on the duties of Commander of Naval Region 4, replacing Senior Captain Nguyen Van Bach, who was appointed as Second-in-Command and Chief of Staff of the Naval Service.
In his speech, Vice Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem congratulated and highly praised Senior Captain Nguyen Van Bach and Rear Admiral Nguyen Anh Tuan for their contribution and hoped that in new posts, they would promote wisdom, capacity and lead their units to fulfill all assignments.

He asked the Party Committee of the Naval Region 4 Command to continue to build solidarity and unity, promote democracy, maintain discipline, and improve training and combat readiness capability of forces. The Command’s affiliates were requested to give timely suggestions to firmly defend national sovereignty over sea and islands, and pay attention to build a contingent of high-quality cadres and personnel to meet task requirements in the new situation.
Earlier, on May 31, the Standing Board of the Party Committee of the Naval Command announced the MND’s decisions on assigning Rear Admiral Nguyen Anh Tuan, Commander of Naval Region 2 to the post of Commander of Naval Region 4; appointing Senior Captain Le Ba Quan, Second-in-Command and Chief of Staff of Naval Region 2, as Commander of Naval Region 2, and Senior Captain Nguyen Van Quan, Commanding Officer of Brigade 189, as Second-in-Command and Chief of Staff of Naval Region 2.

At the event, responsibilities and duties were handed over between the old and new commanders of Naval Region 2.
Addressing the event, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Bong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Navy, congratulated the newly-appointed officials. He expressed his hope that in new posts, they would lead their units to accomplish assigned political tasks, contributing to building strong and healthy Party organizations, comprehensively-strong, exemplary and typical units.
