Since the beginning of this year, the Viet Nam Military History Museum has comprehensively carried out its assigned tasks and achieved positive results.

The museum has welcomed and served more than one million visitors so far this year, including approximately 52,550 visitors during the National Day holiday on September 2. It has also organized a range of communications and heritage education programs, exhibitions and thematic displays, as well as launched an art competition on the theme of the armed forces and revolutionary wars for the 2026-2030 period.
The museum has paid close attention to the research, collection, inventory and preservation of artifacts, while Party and political work has also been conducted in a strict manner. It has also effectively implemented the 2026 “Determined to win” emulation movement, various peak emulation campaigns and activities marking major national and military anniversaries.
In his remarks, General Nguyen Trong Nghia praised the museum for its achievements over the past years, particularly its efforts to welcome and serve the public and visitors; research, collect, preserve and display artifacts; and promote public awareness of the history and traditions of the country and the military.
Looking ahead, General Nguyen Trong Nghia stressed that the museum, together with relevant agencies and units, should continue to adopt new approaches and methods in organizing its activities. It should also proactively review the implementation process, promptly address difficulties and obstacles, strengthen coordination among relevant agencies, and make full use of the expertise of specialists and professional personnel.
The GDP chairman noted that as the Party and State are paying increasing attention and allocating greater resources to cultural development, agencies and units should pro-actively study and propose appropriate policies and solutions, while further promoting the role of cultural institutions within the military. The museum should not merely serve as a repository for artifacts, but should become an attractive cultural and historical destination, contributing to the education of officials, soldiers and people from all walks of life about national traditions, while fostering patriotism and national pride.

He called on the museum to further improve the quality of research, collection, inventory, preservation and display of artifacts. Each artifact, document and photograph should be thoroughly researched and authenticated in terms of its origin, date and historical value, while appropriate measures should be put in place to ensure their long-term and secure preservation.
He also called for the development of a highly qualified, dedicated and responsible professional workforce, continued efforts to improve the quality of visitor services, and more effective promotion of the value of documents and artifacts to better meet the public's growing needs for visits, research and cultural enrichment.
