During the third quarter of 2026, Party and political work of the Naval Service has been carried out comprehensively, successfully fulfilling the set program. Notable results include effective political education and ideological leadership; strengthened information and communications activities; and well-executed mass mobilization and social policy activities on the occasion of the 79th Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs Day.

The Party and political work has also been effectively conducted in various missions, particularly combat readiness to safeguard national sovereignty over sea and islands, training, implementation of projects, search and rescue, and other tasks. Naval units have also achieved strong results in competitions organized by higher levels.
Speaking at the working session, General Nguyen Trong Nghia commended the service’s achievements, particularly its efforts to safeguard national sovereignty and build an elite and modern force. He highlighted Resolution No.20-NQ/TW adopted at the third plenum of the 14th Party Central Committee on building and developing Viet Nam into a strong maritime nation, saying it reflected the Party’s continued attention to protecting national sea and islands and developing a revolutionary, regular, elite and modern Viet Nam People’s Navy.
He asked the service to focus on building a politically strong force; continue reviewing and adjusting its organizational structure and personnel strength toward an “elite, compact, strong and modern” force; and develop a contingent of cadres with firm political stance, comprehensive capabilities and sharp thinking to meet the requirements of modernization and international integration.
Regarding MR3, the Party and political work has been comprehensively implemented in accordance with resolutions and directives from higher levels. The region has effectively organized dissemination activities marking major national holidays and significant political events, as well as a ceremony to receive the title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces.

In August, MR3’s armed forces continued to conduct the Party and political work proactively and comprehensively, including studying and disseminating the Resolution of the third Plenum of the 14th Party Central Committee and implementing gratitude activities to commemorate the War Invalids and Martyrs Day. The region also accelerated the “500-day campaign” and supported efforts to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for biological children of people who took part in the resistance war and were exposed to toxic chemicals, among others.
General Nguyen Trong Nghia praised MR3’s armed forces for their achievements and requested the region to strictly implement resolutions, directives and conclusions of higher-level Party organizations and the Ministry of National Defense; improve the quality and effectiveness of the Party and political work; renew political education and assessment methods; consolidate its contingent of cadres; and accelerate the search, collection and identification of martyrs’ remains.
He also called for maintaining internal unity, strengthening regularity and strictly enforcing discipline, contributing to building strong armed forces in MR3.
