MND deploys military technical service for H2
PANO - The Ministry of National Defense (MND) held a teleconference on July 3 in Hanoi to review the military technical service in this year’s first half and map out tasks for the second half with Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Deputy-Defense Minister as a chair.
According to a report delivered by Lieutenant General Le Quy Dam, Director of the General Department of Techniques, and other delegates’ speeches, in the first six month of this year, units embraced and carried out comprehensively their technical missions. Besides, technical agencies at all levels actively gave recommendations to units’ commanders to meet the tasks while ensuring technical service for units during training, exercises, combat readiness performance, search and rescue and defense of national sovereignty over the seas and islands.
Moreover, a project on budget to ensure technical service for weapons and technical equipment bought from 2001 to present in the 2018-2030 period has been submitted to the Politburo for approval while a project on planning the military arsenal system has been completed.

It is worth noting that units well improved and extended life expectancy of weapons and technical equipment, increased weapons’ range, fatal power and mobility. They also successfully organized festivals, training courses, exercises and meetings in response to the second action month on labor safety and hygiene in 2018.
In his speech, General Truong highly applauded the task performance of the military technical sector in the first half of the year.
Regarding the missions for the rest of the year, General Truong requested the sector to continue ensuring high quality of weapons and technical equipment, especially for training, live-fire exercises, combat readiness and search and rescue tasks, improve and modernize weapons and technical equipment, check technical management service of strategic-level weapon and technical equipment repair factories as planned as well as put forwards implementation of technological investment projects and check and approve completed projects.
