General Phan Van Giang attends duty handover meeting of MR3

At the event, Gen. Giang congratulated Lt. Gen. Nguyen Quang Ngoc who was MR3 Commander on his appointment by the Prime Minister as Deputy Chief of the General Staff; and MR3’s Second-in-Command Maj. Gen. Luong Van Kiem on his assignment by the Ministry of National Defense as Commanding General in charge of MR3.

The defense chief asked Maj. Gen. Kiem to inherit and promote the military region’s achievements gained over the past time and start his new missions.

MR3’s Party Committee and Command were requested to lead and direct the effective combination of outdoor training and mass mobilization work, helping build strong local political establishments, the implementation of logistics supplies and technical services, production movement, thrift practices, the preservation and synchronization of weapons, technical equipment, and the building of green, clean, and beautiful barracks.

Defense Minister congratulates Maj. Gen. Luong Van Kiem

The defense minister expressed his belief that Comrade Luong Van Kiem, together with the MR3’s Party Committee and Command, would promote democracy, solidarity, and high  solidarity, as well as close coordination with local peers to complete defense and military tasks of the MR3’s armed forces, meeting the Fatherland protection requirements in the new situation.
