Over the past year, the unit’s Party Committee has focused on building the whole people’s defense disposition, in line with people’s security posture, while boosting military, economic, cultural, and social power.

Lao Deputy Defense Minister and Chief of the LPA’s General Department of Political Affairs Senior Lieutenant General Thongloi Silivong presents a gift to the Military Region 3 leader.

The region has also taken measures to raise training quality and leadership of its leaders, with absolute safety during training and exercise.

For his part, Senior Lieutenant General Thongloi Silivong was impressed by the unit’s traditions of 78 years of construction and development, especially its experience in building defensive areas, ensuring political security and social order, and creating favorable conditions for the socio-economic development.

He also wished the unit would always fulfill its assigned tasks, hoping that the solidarity between the two militaries and peoples would be further developed.

On the same day, Gen. Gau held a ceremony to see off the Lao delegation, concluding their visit to Vietnam.
