Anti-piracy plans are continuously refined through rigorous drills. Training focuses on simulated threats, such as suspicious boat approaches and armed attacks, to ensure the absolute safety of personnel and equipment.
In one scenario, the command post shifted to high combat readiness after detecting high-speed boats. Mobile teams quickly occupied key deck positions, the bridge, and the engine room. Senior Lieutenant Dang Van Thang emphasized that these drills require agility in realistic sea conditions, where sailors must master technical skills and utilize the ship's terrain to neutralize targets.
While teams maintained constant communication with the command center, the stern crew deployed high-pressure water cannons and non-lethal measures to disrupt the approach. Lieutenant Dang Van Huy noted that such training improves rapid response and advisory capabilities for long-range missions. The drill concluded successfully with the simulated pirate group controlled and the leader apprehended, meeting all safety objectives.
