According to a report at the conference, in the first half of this year, the military information and political education sector actively gave recommendations to the Central Miliary Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the GDP to comprehensively carry out information and political education missions across the military, meeting the requirement of building a politically- and ideologically-strong military.
In his speech, General Nghia recognized and applauded the sector’s outcomes which had contributed to consolidating the ideological front of the Party in the military. Against complicated developments in regional and global situations, as well as difficulties facing the country and the military’s missions, officers and soldiers of the whole military still hold firm political stance, trust in the Party’s leadership and absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and Vietnamese people while heightening combat readiness, vigilance and solidarity; seriously observing the military discipline; and overcoming all difficulties to undertake and fulfill all assigned tasks.
Regarding real requirements of military-building, General Nghia asked the sector to concentrate on further popularizing resolutions of the Party Central Committee and Central Military Commission on military-defense missions in 2018, and grasp thoroughly their missions, potential threats, partners, hostile forces’ plots and tricks.
The sector was also requested to well implement Directive No.05 of the Politburo and Directive No.87 of the Standing Board of the Central Military Commission on promoting the “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morals and lifestyle” movement, together with the campaign of “Promoting tradition, devoting talent, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers.”
