General Phan Van Giang requested the military to focus on comprehensively accomplishing set objectives and tasks for 2026 with the highest results. The military must improve the quality of training and education, successfully organize exercises, and draw lessons from them to serve training and combat readiness duties. He also called for continued innovation in political and ideological education, information, dissemination, and public opinion orientation, while strictly studying and implementing important policies, decisions, and new documents of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat.
The Defense Minister requested agencies and units to promptly and effectively carry out emulation and commendation work to encourage the troops’ dedication and determination. The military must effectively implement mass mobilization, social policies, and gratitude activities, while successfully carrying out the “500-day campaign to step up the search, collection, and identification of martyrs’ remains.” It is also necessary to step up international integration and defense diplomacy and make thorough preparations for the third Viet Nam Defense Expo in December 2026.
