He also expressed appreciation to agencies, units, local authorities, and people for their continued coordination and support, which helped the department successfully fulfill its assigned missions.

General Nguyen Trong Nghia asked the department’s Party Committee, chain-of-command, officers and soldiers to thoroughly implement Party resolutions and higher-level directives and orders; continue studying and practicing President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, methods and style; and build a force with firm political resolve, absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and the people, strong determination, and the virtues of “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers.”

He stressed the need to build the department into an elite, sharp, and professionally proficient force, with strong legal and technological expertise and the ability to handle difficult and complex situations flexibly and accurately. Training programs and methods should also be continuously renewed, combining basic and specialized training to meet practical requirements.

The department was asked to improve its capacity for research, analysis, and forecasting, accurately identify risks affecting internal political security, state and military secrets, cyber-security, information security, and the security and safety of the military. The department should shift from responding to incidents to pro-active prevention, from detecting cases to identifying risks, and from handling situations to pro-actively creating the conditions and capabilities needed to defend the Fatherland early and from afar.

General Nguyen Trong Nghia also emphasized the need to apply advances in science and technology, digital technology, artificial intelligence and modern technical equipment to professional operations. The department must enhance its ability to detect, prevent and combat hostile activities in cyberspace.

It should also continue strengthening discipline, building comprehensively strong agencies and units, promoting military administrative reform, and advancing the application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.

General Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed his confidence that, with its 76-year tradition of development, combat and growth, and the honor and responsibility of being a Hero of the People’s Armed Forces unit twice, the Department of Military Security Protection will follow in the footsteps of previous generations, successfully fulfill its missions, achieve new accomplishments, and contribute to building the military, strengthening national defense, and building and defending the Fatherland.
