The construction of the park began on October 21, 2025, with total investment of more than VND 26 billion from the city budget. The 8,965-square-meter park is located at the foot of Tho Son mountain, within the area of the Ngu Hanh Son special national scenic site. The project comprises a memorial and incense-offering area, a stele bearing the names of 2,081 martyrs and 601 heroic Vietnamese mothers, a bell tower, and other related facilities.

The project is intended to provide a solemn space for present and future generations to commemorate and pay tribute to fallen heroes and martyrs, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and predecessors who made contributions to their hometown.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mai Thi Anh Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People’s Council of Ngu Hanh Son ward, said the memorial park would serve as a “red address” for remembrance and gratitude. She said the ward’s Party Committee, authorities, and people would continue to manage, protect, preserve, and promote the value of the site, ensuring that it remains a solemn and clean place for local people and visitors to offer incense and pay tribute.

The ward will also step up dissemination and educational activities to promote the site as a destination for educating younger generations about local revolutionary traditions, history, and culture.

Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, asked Ngu Hanh Son ward to continue preserving the achievements of previous generations, strengthen solidarity and consensus, and promote gratitude activities and care for policy beneficiaries and people who have rendered services to the country.

She also called for long-term plans to preserve and promote the park’s historical, cultural, and traditional values. The ward is expected to study ways to connect the memorial park with the historical sites and scenic attractions of Ngu Hanh Son, creating a seamless heritage space combining history, culture, spirituality, and tradition education.
